PLASTIGONIA

IMPACT MISSIONS

Research and impact expeditions documenting and exposing the reality of the Patagonian coastline.

PROJECT
BACKGROUND

When you think about Patagonia the first thing that comes to your mind is this beautiful, remote place with untouched nature. What you don’t think about is the shocking amount of trash and plastic pollution that you can find almost everywhere. Beaches covered with plastic even hundreds of kilometres away from civilization, illegal garbage dumps next to the ocean, and the list goes on and on.

We joined the olympic sailor and “conservationist” Yago Lange on this trip that began almost spontaneously with no real goal but learning more about the problem while driving down the Patagonian coastline. Enjoying the nature and documenting our experiences.

A group of friends, coming from completely different backgrounds, sharing the same love for our planet and the will of doing something to protect it.

MISSION

What started as a passion project quickly evolved into a serious cause with an actual positive impact. Countless clean-ups, educational talks and research expeditions are part of this journey that we embarked on. The problems that we expose and document often make it to the mainstream news which helps to inform the general public and put pressure on the authorities to find solutions.
